I had already posted this one before but now I took a better picture of it and will make it a print.
Still lifes like this are interesting because you can look for shapes, forms, lines and colors almost as if you´re doing an abstract painting... well at least that´s how I feel, because the composition is based on the harmony of objects that reflect not only the purpose or meaning we give to them, but the image they represent, the light they emanate.
Stuff like this makes me feel like I'm in school again, so it's hard to make myself actually DO it. But I should really just backtrack a little and work on drawing simple...well, that's no where near simple. But I think you know what I mean. heh
Normally, I equate very vibrant colors or insanely soft shades with the medium, so this is quite a wakeup call for me.
It's nice to look at, but still lifes seems so pointless to me. I value the fact that they help one practice, but something about them--lack of in-dpeth subject--makes me indifferent.
one of the first works of yours that I saw and I still love your still life paintings.
I delivered all my work to the gallery yesterday including your portrait. I'll find out how to mail framed work so I can send it to you in January when I get my work back . . .it looks great framed.

I love you're work. Its refreshing because you work traditionally as compared to most of the digital stuff on DA, but I like you're stuff much better than alot of the digital stuff I see. And it sure beats anime(not that I'm against that, but its overdone on DA...).
I'm not a still life fan. The way I draw doesn't work well with them. Maybe I just need to get better, heh.
You handle them very well though.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. So many people think they're not for much more than practice...
But I like 'em. They're kind of comforting. And it's an interesting idea that something you see every day can be turned into a piece of art.
And the crumply milk jug is a nice touch; it gives it more personality.
